driverThe U-Turn the Wheel Program has been developed to help today's youth have a better understanding of what is entailed in becoming a safe and responsible driver.

A community driven project, initiated by the Moss Vale Rotary Club and Wingecarribee Shire Council, the program exposes small groups of young people to interactive learning sessions under the guidance of a skilled teacher/lecturer, to help them make informed assessments and decisions whilst in control of a motor vehicle.

What the program is and isn't

There is no intent in these activities to become involved with ‘in the car’ driver training industry.

Our aim is to make information available and to provide the opportunity for young adults to ask questions of skilled, experienced and independent people, without the constraints of schools or family environment.

We wish to freely share experiences gained in attempts to reduce the disproportional crash rate of inexperienced road users.  Peer Pressure and Risk Taking is part of normal growing up, having knowledge to recognise what is "happening" in these two subjects is important in controlling behaviour.  When starting to drive it is a good time to impart this information as it will play a part in driving attitude thought life.  Information on other subjects answers practical needs of owning a car or motor bike.

In the true spirit of ROTARY and its "Service above Self", no copyright is involved or fees payable. Downloading of information is encouraged.

Road safety is a local problem, we hope our website and associated program resources will help many communities help their youth get through adolescence safely.
